Fun Day in Islington
On 4th June PiLON, represented by Cristian Ailenei, Senior Site Manager, participated in a fun day organised by our client, Balfour Beatty, in Islington. This event was dedicated to the residents and to the children who are studying at the Andover Estate community crèche, on the occasion of the inauguration of the new refurbished community centre.
During the refurbishment works, PiLON cut the front walls and built a new front brick wall for the community centre. This work also involved dismantling, reinforcing and re-casting a nine-metre long concrete beam using hand tools only.
At the same time, the PiLON team from the Andover Estate carried out the works for the community crèche’s extension. On this job PiLON completed every stage of the extension: pouring footings and foundations, building the walls, framework, roofing, internal finishing (decoration, flooring and plumbing) and external cladding.
PiLON offered party bags to 100 children who participated in the fun day.
