What is our Purpose?

To consistently achieve sustainable and profitable business growth by delivering an innovative and customer focused service. We always strive to create opportunities for our people so that we can leave behind legacies that we are proud of.

Why join PiLON?

Because we are guided by our People Mission and we genuinely believe that it is the people in our business who make it all happen. This is why we are committed to developing colleagues and enhancing their experience so they can thrive, collaborate, feel valued and show agility in delivering our commercial plan. We celebrate our differences and we desire that all our colleagues feel comfortable bringing their whole selves to work because we value all backgrounds, experiences and cultures.

Jodie Lavender, Assistant Quantity Surveyor

I joined PiLON in 2019 as a project administrator, providing general administrative support and updating project trackers. Now I am an Assistant Quantity Surveyor working across a range of projects and within a developing role in the company.

Each day presents itself with a new opportunity for growth. The people are friendly, and colleagues happy to work together to achieve a team or project goal.

PiLON have supported me all the way through my career working for the company, whether it be day to day queries with a management team who are keen to share knowledge, to providing both in-house and external training. I am very grateful to have been offered the opportunity to study part time to progress within my role, having just completed an HNC in Construction and the Built Environment and already being offered to further my studies and undertake a BSc degree specialising in Quantity Surveying. This is proven valuable to not only my career progression but also my personal progression and qualifications held.

Adrian Ciobanu, Contracts Manager

I joined PiLON in 2009 as a painter and decorator. Since then, I have gained valuable experience managing site and commercial teams, which has led to my position as Contracts Manager.

I have grown and developed with PiLON throughout the years and am proud of my own personal accomplishments as well as those of the company. I have developed excellent relationships with my colleagues and our client partners and thoroughly enjoy working for a company that supports and invests in its staff. PiLON adapt and are flexible to the changing needs of our staff and have proven themselves as a company that cares, for example, during this cost of living crisis.

PiLON embraces a culture of developing individuals and promoting from within, and it’s not hard to see why many of my colleagues are long-term employees.

Mohamed Muridi, Assistant quantity surveyor

Mohamed began his journey with PiLON as an Apprentice thanks to our partnership with Islington Council and our Social Value commitments on the Voids contract. Take a look at the video below to hear more about Mohamed’s journey of growth at PiLON.
