This contract saw the installation of Aico Carbon Monoxide detector/alarms to approximately 5,000 properties across Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas.
The works were undertaken with the tenant in occupation to various property types, and any ancillary works identified as required were also completed, such as new CCUs and EICRs once agreed with Soha Housing.
We provided minor works installation certificates for all completed works and showed the resident how the new unit works.
The CO detectors/alarms were mounted and wired via an existing light fitting using surface mounted trunking. These are unpopular with residents so we agreed with Soha Housing, where possible, we will ‘fish’ the wires through the ceiling void to prevent them.
Shortly after the award of the contract, Soha Housing expressed a desire to complete the works quicker than the original 21 months assigned. We agreed to do this knowing we could deliver an accelerated programme supported by our direct delivery model and innovative Electrical App.
Since works began in June 2022, we have successfully completed more than 5000 installations out of the property list provided, with an estimated completion date of January 2023.
