Since our establishment in 2004, PiLON has been dedicated to serving the needs of social housing providers and their tenants. Our mission is to ensure their safety, assurance, and wellbeing by delivering compliance, planned maintenance, and refurbishments of the highest standard. In 2022, we experienced remarkable growth, with a 25% increase in sales and a 26% expansion of our talented team. These numbers reflect our unwavering commitment to providing a high-quality service, upholding health and safety standards, maintaining integrity, fostering collaboration, and putting people at the heart of everything we do.

Investment in People’s Development
Investing in the development of our people is not just an aspiration; it is at the core of our success. In 2022, we went above and beyond by investing over £80,000 in upskilling our colleagues—an exceptional feat for a business of our size with a £33 million turnover. Moreover, we provide an uncapped personal training and development budget, allowing our team members to pursue continuous development and strive for high performance. As a result, an impressive 75% of our operational and support team members are now upskilled and have achieved new qualifications.
Enhanced Employee Platform
Recognising that wellbeing is essential for our team’s success, we have launched an enhanced online People Platform called ‘Our Legacy – Your Community.’ This platform is a comprehensive resource for our employees, offering an Employee Assistance Programme and a Wellbeing Centre. It supports four key areas: Move, Munch, Money, and Mind. Additionally, we offer other financial support initiatives, such as access to trained, qualified, in-house Mental Health First Aiders, a baby bonus program, enhanced parental leave and pay, compassionate support, and a £2,000 referral scheme.

At the Construction News Workforce Awards, we were honoured to receive the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Initiative of the Year 2022.
